Workers are finalizing holiday travel plans, and some may feel intimidated asking for a few extra days off this season. In an exclusive study by the benefits of extended vacations are uncovered and why we all should take advantage of a long holiday getaway to ring in 2020.
Findings:
- Workers say a quick 1-2 day vacation is good for rest, but shorter trips don’t positively impact productivity, creativity, and energy as much as longer trips
- More than 3 in 4 workers who took an 11-15 day vacation felt ready to return to work, compared to just 1 in 5 workers that took a shorter vacation
- Vacations longer than 10 days are correlated with the highest levels of worker productivity, creativity, energy, and the least amount of stress
- Compared to staycations and international travel, domestic travel is linked to the highest levels of rest and creativity upon returning to work.
