Quellness Golf Resort, Europe’s largest golfing venue, has announced unmissable packages ahead of Bavaria’s 3rd largest Oktoberfest, Karpfhamer Fest, renowned for being the most traditional of celebrations in the region, attracting over 400,000 people annually.

Andy Gerleigner, CEO of Quellness Golf Resort, commented: “Karpfhamer Fest is one of the biggest events on Bavaria’s calendar and we are looking forward to welcoming guests to enjoy the festivities with us. With traditional events such as the Big Karpfhamer Horse Show and demonstrations of the famous Rottaler Zehner train alongside great German beer, there is truly a taste of Bavarian history in this event.

“We are in a unique position here at Quellness as we can up the ante for those interested in Karpfhamer Fest as we can offer them the opportunity to play in our traditional Lederhosen Tournament too. This tournament celebrates all that is good about Bavaria, as participants wear Lederhosen or Dirndl during the round and fun is had by all.”

In the 2019 edition of the festival, the program is stacked full of activities. This includes free beer on the opening night on the 29th August, traditional German music, show jumping tournaments, fireworks and more traditional events such as the Karpfhamer donkey race. This festival is the perfect opportunity to become immersed in German culture whilst drinking some of the best beer in the world.

To celebrate the event, Quellness is offering brand new packages to Bavaria to accommodate both the exceptional golf and local culture from 28th August – 1st September. For just £549pp guests can receive 4 nights at the 5* Maximilian Hotel and two green fees to be played on any of the five 18-hole courses. Included in this package too, guests will gain entry to the Lederhosen Tournament at the Beckenbauer Golf Course on the 31st August, receiving half-way snacks, an award ceremony at Penning Estate and an evening at Karpfhamer Fest with a reserved table including snacks and beer.
