She’s out! She’s out of the shipyard. Norwegian Cruise Line’s next mighty ship, Norwegian Encore, has emerged into daylight as she sailed out of a German factory for the first time.
The major milestone in Norwegian Encore‘s construction was made this week when she was pulled out of the Meyer Werft shipbuilding dock.
Although she’s out and about, the 3,998-passenger ship will remain in the shipyard port for the final phase of her construction before her conveyance up the Ems River to the North Sea in September.

WHEN WILL ENCORE OFFICIALLY MAKE HER DEBUT?
The 170,000-tonne vessel will officially be handed over to Norwegian Cruise Line on 30 October 2019. From then, she’ll head to Miami for her christening on 21 November 2019.
Her inaugural itineraries will be seven-day voyages to the Caribbean, which commence on 24 November 2019.

Norwegian Encore will feature the world’s longest race track at sea at 335 meters with four high-speed curves extending up to 3.9 meters over the side of the ship.
She also has the largest outdoor laser tag arena at nearly 930 square meters with the addition of augmented reality elements; and new immersive escape room and interactive theatre experiences in the 930-square-meter Galaxy Pavilion.
Other highlights include highly rated restaurants and lounges that have made the Breakaway Plus class one of Norwegian’s most innovative and successful. There’s also the debut of a new elevated Italian dining experience, Onda by Scarpetta, the introduction of the Tony Award®-winning musical, “Kinky Boots”, and more.

Her inaugural trips will include visitors to Bermuda, and Canada and New England (Eastern Caribbean).
From 22 April 2020, she’ll sail along the Western Caribbean from New York City and from 21 December 2020 she'll head back to Miami.
