Aegean Airlines was recognized as "Best Regional Airline in Europe" by the 2019 Skytrax World Airline Awards, considered the "Oscars" of the aviation sector.It is the ninth consecutive year Aegean has received this award and the tenth time overall.
The awards commenced in 1999 and are handed out after global surveys on customer satisfaction. During the latest survey - conducted from Sept. 2018 to May 2019 in six languages - there were over 21.6 million participants, including nationals of 100 countries and over 300 airlines. A total of 49 factors were taken into account.
