Ει βούλει καλώς ακούειν, μάθε καλώς λέγειν, μαθών δε καλώς λέγειν, πειρώ καλώς πράττειν, και ούτω καρπώση το καλώς ακούειν. (Επίκτητος)

In the first three months of 2019, Jordan tourism earned U.S. dollars 1.3 billion registering a 5.2 per cent rise as compared to 2018 for the same period as revealed by the monthly statistical report of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities on Wednesday.

The number of foreign tourists, overnight visitors and group-based tourists increased by 33.3 per cent, 36 per cent and 19.7 per cent respectively in the first three months of 2019.

Jordan tourism is growing steadily. In 2018, tourism revenue surpassed the U.S. dollars 5 billion mark, which was an 8 per cent increase from the 2017 numbers of U.S. dollars 4.6 billion.

In 2018 , about 50,449 Brits visited Jordan – an increase of 21 per cent as compared to the same period in 2017.

Jordan’s MICE industry has come of age as per Mr. Rami Qutishat, the state Regional Director.

It has a treasure of meeting space in all the premium hotels, and the opening of the King Hussein Bin Talal Convention Center in 2006 on the shore of the Dead Sea has added more depth to MICE sector.

Thus, Jordan tourism is firing on all cylinders, to maintain the acceleration of growth. It is improving its airline network as well.
