Stella Di Mare which means the star of the sea opens in Dubai at the south edge Marina. The new 369-room five-star hotel includes 252 king rooms, 72 twin rooms and 45 suites. It features a 550 sq.m Roman bath spa with beauty treatments, separate male and female saunas, a steam room, an indoor jacuzzi, an indoor gymnasium , a salon and an outdoor temperature-controlled swimming pool.
Event planners can plan events of all sizes in this hotel which includes meetings room, 500 sqm grand ballroom, and wedding receptions with the capacity to accommodate up to 500 people. Stella Di Mare includes six restaurants and bars.
The hotel is the first international project of Stella Di Mare Hotels & Resorts – the hospitality arm of Remco Tourism Villages Construction. It operates six properties in Egypt.
As it prepares to host Expo 2020, Dubai aims to increase its hotel inventory. It has set a goal to attract 20 million visitors per year by 2020.
The city’s hotel inventory stood at 111,317 rooms in the first half, which is a 7 per cent rise on the same period last year. Occupied room nights increased from 14.53 million to 14.97 million.
