Wizz Air commenced its first flights from Vienna to Eindhoven and Malaga on the beginning of July. Operated by modern Airbus A320 aircraft, the newest routes are already popular among the Austrian customers as WIZZ welcomed more than 170 travelers on each of the first flights to Eindhoven and Malaga.
The new service to Eindhoven will be the first direct connection from Vienna and will be operated twice a week. The second long awaited destination announced today is to Malaga and will have a convenient schedule of three weekly flights.

In June Wizz Air celebrated the base opening in Vienna and showed their commitment to the Austrian market. The base establishment at Vienna represents a major investment in Austria by WIZZ, creating more than 200 direct jobs with the airline by 2019. With a total investment of $ 570 million, in the upcoming 9 months the airline will continue to increase its operations at Vienna International Airport to become the second largest carrier in Austria in 2019 with a local fleet of 5 new Airbus aircraft, operating a network of 30 routes from Vienna to 22 countries and offering in total more than 2.2 million seats/year. Expanding its operations, Wizz Air’s local team in Vienna will continuously increase.
