The Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) will be conducting a coordinated marketing campaign in China which will start from October to promote Nepal tourism.

China and India are among the two largest source market for Nepal. The country welcomed around 75,745 Chinese tourists for the first half of 2018 showing an inacease of 36.35 % as compared to the same period last year as per the NTB.

China had sent the largest number of tourists after India. NTB Chief Executive Officer Deepak Raj Joshi said that they were promoting Nepal’s tourism on Chinese social networking sites, television channels and hoarding boards in public places to boost the Chinese tourist arrivals.Αποτέλεσμα εικόνας για Nepal to organise marketing campaign in China


This will be the first time they will launch coordinated marketing campaign in China through several media. He further stated that they had plans of starting marketing campaigns by the end of October after the board passes promotional budget.

Nepal tourism 
The marketing campaign was aimed at creating planned Visit Nepal Year 2020 as Nepal aims to attract two million tourists. In several Chinese cities Nepal has launched sales mission to promote tourism and the NTB has launched an interactive Chinese language website.

Since January 2016 Nepal has waived visa fees for Chinese tourists  that will give the same treatment provided to visitors from member countries of the SAARC (South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation).
