Every year on June 21, France traditionally celebrates the “Fête de la Musique” with an evening dedicated to music in all its forms, open to professionals and amateurs. On that day, streets become the stage of live performances and pop up bands get together to share their love and passion for music, and offer complimentary concerts.

For the first time this year, the Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat, A Four Seasons Hotel, will take an active part in this celebration and will offer an exceptional evening dedicated to music, open to Hotel guests as well as clients of the restaurants Le Veranda, Le Cap and Le Bar.

An evening filled with surprises and emotions await participants who will be able to enjoy an exceptional concert of the pianist RIOPY, amongst Warner Classics’ top talents and considered one of the most promising piano composers of his generation. RIOPY is a young French pianist, composer and producer of 35 years. He has been acclaimed by the cinema, notably for his compositions of the trailers of films such as The Danish Girl, Mr Turner, Jimmy Hall and A Royal Night Out.

In the enchanting setting of the elegant Hotel’s Rotunda designed by Gustave Eiffel, RIOPY will perform his latest compositions from his eponymous album released in February 2018, such as On a Cloud, Golden Gate, I Love You or New York.

Before and after the concert, musical instruments including a piano, a guitar and a violin will be available in various public spaces of the Hotel, for all music lovers to feel free to play some notes. And in the purest tradition of the “Fête de la Musique,” meant to be a moment of sharing for all music lovers, it is not impossible that some talented musicians among the Hotel staff surprise guests that evening, among them, Angela Kreuz, Director of Food and Beverage, is a passionate violinist; Julien Barthélémy, the Restaurant Manager of Le Cap, and Federico Anesi, IT Director, both avid guitarists.

To accompany this evening, guests will be able to sample the Hotel’s Michelin starred Chef Yoric Tièche’s fine, elegant and contemporary cuisine offered at Le Cap restaurant and the chic French Riviera bistro, La Véranda. A tapas menu is offered at Le Bar, featuring the cocktail creations of Bar Manager Gary Neal and his team, to be sipped in the idyllic setting of the terraces shaded by Aleppo pines, surrounded by the sound of music notes and with the Mediterranean Sea as the backdrop.
