GAAFU DHAALU ATOLL, THE MALDIVES – The Outrigger Konotta Maldives Resort has created four days of wonderful activities for families seeking a break in the sun this Easter.
The Outrigger’s chefs and activities hosts have created ‘eggstra’ special activities for tropical beach-loving guests of all ages, making the most of the pristine ‘Robinson Crusoe meets Castaway’ island setting.
On the Easter weekend, 30 March-2 April, kids can enjoy Easter egg hunts, making rabbit masks, face painting, egg and spoon races, and many other ‘eggshellent’ themed activities. Outdoor evening movies on the beach include Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Bugs Bunny’s Easter Funnies, and the First Easter Rabbit.
A special programme of outdoor activities show the pristine nature of Konotta island at its best, with turtle quest snorkelling, a castaway experience on a desert island, snorkelling with a marine biologist, a dolphin quest trip, serene yoga sessions, sunrise and sunset fishing.
Executive chef Christopher Long and his creative kitchen hosts will prepare mouth-watering occasions such as an Asian food festival on the beach, chef’s Easter Sunday Specials, sushi making, and chef Endar’s Japanese food tour, and more.
The Outrigger Konotta Maldives Resort general manager John Allanson says the staff have also arranged ‘out of the ordinary’ activities such as the renewal of vows, an Equator cruise, local island excursions, sunken beach table dining, and cooking classes in almost any cuisine of the guest’s choice.
