Delta Air Lines today reported operating performance for December 2017. The company carried 14.4 million passengers across its broad global network in the month.
Monthly highlights include:
- Ordering 100 state-of-the-art Airbus 321neo aircraft with deliveries beginning in 2020 and a long-term commitment with Pratt & Whitney for Delta TechOps to be a major maintenance, repair and overhaul provider for the PW1100G and PW1500G engines, powering Delta's A321neo and C Series aircraft;
- Being named the transportation industry leader and one of America's Most JUST Companies by Forbes and JUST Capital, a ranking of social and corporate responsibility;
- Ranking as the top airline and No. 17 on the list of 50 large companies on Glassdoor Employees' Choice Awards, a list of the Best Places to Work in 2018; and
- Retiring from scheduled service the Boeing 747-400 fleet, among the most iconic and recognizable aircraft, and the final retirement by a U.S. air carrier.
