The second edition of Expo Turkey will take place 17-19 January 2018 in Doha, Qatar. The trade show will be held at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center.
Turkey Expo is an important opportunity for bilateral meetings between Qatari and Turkish businessmen, which paves the way to achieve cooperation between both parties by establishing partnerships that strengthens the trade exchange between both countries.
The Qatar Chamber chairman Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim Al Thani and president of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Rifat Hisarcikiloglu will jointly inaugurate the forum.
Representatives of more than 150 Turkish companies specialized in infrastructure, building, pharmaceutical, medical supplies, foodstuffs, agriculture, glass and plastic, industrials equipment, electricity, logistics and security systems will attend the event.
The Independent Industrialist and Businessmen Association (MÜSİAD) is the main sponsor of the event, which aims at strengthen commercial ties between Turkey and Qatar.
The event will see discussion sessions on investment opportunities both in Qatar and Turkey.
Qatar Expo was chosen by the Republic of Turkey to plan, organize, and market Qatar’s first international Trade Fair dedicated to Turkish products and services.
The bilateral trade volume between Qatar and Turkey in 2016 reached over $1.44bn (QR5.24bn) against $1.43bn in the previous year.
Qatar’s exports to Turkey in 2016 were at $908.5m, while imports of goods from Turkey stood at $538.9m. The trade balance continued to be in favor of Qatar at $369.6m, marginally down from $384.4m in 2015.
