The AAA believes that an overwhelming 107.3 million American are predicted to travel during this holiday season that had released its annual holiday travel forecast.

According to this travel forecast 2017’ winter season would mark a 25% rise in holiday travels as compared to the same period in the year 2005.

And out of these travellers, about 6.4 million are expected to travel by airplane. But in reality, these travellers are actually doing this with a grudge, as suggested by a fresh survey that was published yesterday by the U.S. Travel Association. Conducted by this survey it is revealed that a large number of Americans dislike flying.

This is mainly due to the fact that flying situation in the United States has deteriorated to a great extent.

The survey has also indicated that Americans had skipped as many as 32 million air trips in the year 2016. It had cost the American economy more than $24 billion in terms of potential spending.

And the other findings include the fact that overall cost of flying has worsened in the last five years.

And 60% of Americans feel that airline fees that are inclusive of fees charged for checked baggage, seat assignments and flight changes have also become worse. Another 47% claim that crowded terminals, airport hassles, long queues are some of the other factors that lead to much inconvenience for air travellers.

Jonathan Grella who is the Executive Vice President of Travel Affairs of the U.S. Travel Association feels that as aviation infrastructure is currently debated upon, these kind of problems for airline travellers indicate that they need to be addressed as soon as possible.
