SunExpress, a joint venture between Turkish Airlines and Lufthansa, adds 14 new flights to its flight network between Anatolian cities and Europe in the summer season of 2018.
SunExpress, the first and only airline to offer the highest number of direct connections between Anatolian and European cities, will enter 2018 summer season with a capacity increase of 24 percent compared to 2017 summer season. SunExpress is strengthening its position as the leading airline with the most direct flights from Anatolia with new connections.
SunExpress will deliver 162 flights a week to 17 destinations in Europe from nine cities in Anatolia, including Adana, Ankara, Gaziantep, Elazığ, Konya, Kayseri, Ordu-Giresun Airport, Samsun and Trabzon. SunExpress has added 5 new European cities including London, Paris, Zurich, Amsterdam and Cologne to its flights departing from Ankara, bringing the total number of routes from Ankara to 12. Airline will add London and Zurich from Gaziantep, Hamburg, Münster and Strasburg from Kayseri, Stockholm and Düsseldorf from Konya, Munich from Samsun, Hannover from Elazığ to its Anatolia-Europe flight network.
SunExpress Germany Deputy General Manager Alper Özen stated that SunExpress is always behind Turks living in Europe at a press conference in Frankfurt on 5 December and added, “In 2010 we were offering direct scheduled flights to a small number of points in Europe from only a few cities in Anatolia, now in the summer season of 2018, we will offer 714 thousand seats from 9 Anatolian cities to 17 destinations in Europe, especially Germany, with 162 scheduled flights per week, excluding flights from our from Antalya hub and our transfer hub Izmir.”

Özen says "We are always supporting Turks living in Europe" and adds, “As SunExpress, we have created an air bridge between Turkey and Europe. Our aim is to increase our Anatolian flights and provide a comfortable transportation for our Turkish citizens. We will be offering 134 thousand additional seats to 17 cities in Europe from 9 cities in Turkey with SunExpress' new flight schedule. In addition to the direct flights available in Anatolian cities we are offering flights to seven cities from Adana to Europe, three cities from Kayseri, five cities from Diyarbakır, one city from Erzurum, five cities from Gaziantep, two cities from Kars and Konya, one city from Malatya, three cities from Ordu-Giresun Airport, five cities from İstanbul and Samsun, three cities from Trabzon and to four cities from Van connected via İzmir”.
SunExpress Trade Director Peter Glade stated that SunExpress is an airline focused on customer satisfaction and added, “Our aim, together with our business partners, is to meet all travel needs of our passengers. Glade stated that Turkish citizens living in Europe usually have excess baggage during their visit to Turkey and said “We offer 30 kilograms free luggage for our citizens living in Europe in our flights between Europe and Turkey excluding Antalya. For passengers with excess luggage; we offer SunClassic with 35 kilograms luggage allowance and free food and beverage, or SunPremium with 35 kilograms luggage allowance, free seat reservations and premium food and beverages along many advantages.”
