A furious airplane passenger triggered a commotion on board the flight as she discovered her husband cheating on her that she managed to detect with the aid of his phone.
The reaction was so strong that the jet was compelled to make an emergency landing.
She was infuriated after she found evidence that he had been cheating on her, as reported by one of the leading news media agencies of India. Reportedly the lady was drinking alcohol and then started a major fight with her husband. The authorities also stated that she ‘misbehaved’ when the flight crew members made efforts to calm her down as per the reports of this paper.
Then the situation soon went ‘out of hand’ and the pilot had to make a decision to divert to Chennai, India.
Later the family of three had to be offloaded at Chennai airport and the aircraft continued its journey to Bali. Since there was no security issue the family was soon capable of flying to Kuala Lumpur and from there back to Doha.
An official from Central Industrial Security Force of India has confirmed the incident.
The official went on to state that a lady and her child, along with her husband who were Iranian nationals were offloaded by Qatar Airlines since the lady passenger misbehaved with the in-flight crew members.
They were thereafter sent to Kuala Lumpur by Batik Air flight 6019 for additional travel to Doha.
Qatar Airways refused to comment on the incident. They have told the news media that they prefer refraining from commenting on individual cases as they respect passenger privacy.
