Samoan, a small island country in Polynesia has their cruise ships, now recruiting many young Somans and has been told to stay away from the distractions of the western countries as they head off to jobs.
The Acting Prime Minister of Samoan Papalii Niko Lee Hang was among those farewelling 39 new recruits who have been training at the Samoa Marine Training Institute.
Papalii Niko Lee Hang has encouraged the sailors to work hard and to try and stay away from the distractions of the western world.
At about 300 have so far been recruited into the mushrooming cruise ship industry of Samoan and some have been sent home in the past.
