Rendering of The Statler, a Curio Collection by Hilton Hotel |
MCLEAN, VA—From extended-stay to its upper-upscale soft brand, Hilton has had a busy week of openings.
The Statler
The Statler, located in Dowtown Dallas, has opened as part of the Curio Collection by Hilton following a $255-million redevelopment.
Originally opened in 1956 as one of Conrad Hilton’s first convention properties, The Statler is heralded as a pioneer hotel, bringing many firsts—such as elevator music—to the industry, according to the brand. The historic property, owned and developed by Centurion American Development Group, offers 159 guestrooms and a mixed-use development with 219 residences, restaurants, nightlife, specialty retail outlets, meeting space and a large-scale event venue. Designed by Merriman Anderson/Architects, The Statler offers a timeless, midcentury design with retro-forward finishes throughout the guestrooms and public spaces.
Additional hotel features and amenities will open following the hotel’s soft opening, including five unique food and beverage outlets operated by Dallas-based Epic F&B and led by local chef Graham Dodds; meeting and event space that totals 33,000 sq. ft.; a rooftop pool and lounge opening later this year; and a multi-use fitness center, bowling and games.
The Statler is managed by Dallas-based Aimbridge Hospitality.
