Seabourn Cruise Line, an ultra-luxury cruise line from Washington, United States is aiming to generate more travel trade bookings by forminga joint venture with Sabre.
The joint venture with Sabre will give a new momentum in gaining the travel technology and authorizes to make the cruise journey safer and easier.
The travel agents and the tour operator using the Sabre GDS will now have the aptitude to book the luxury cruise line’s full inventory via Sabre Cruises, a new booking capability within Sabre Red Workspace, the agency desktop system.
This new travel technology will allow the agents to browse Seabourn’s ships and amenities, and search for and book its itineraries in an easier way.
Seabourn Cruise Line in the light of this joint venture hopes to provide the best service as they are in the collaboration with the global travel professional partners with an additional valuable resource to access and book the cruises. Seabourn Cruise Line also hopes in providing the value of the travel agents community who are the major shareholder of the cruise services.
Traci Mercer, Sabre Travel Network’s senior vice president of Lodging, Ground & Sea, commented that their agency platform and Cruise API will significantly increase the exposure of Seabourn collection of cruises, ships, personalised services and fine amenities among an influential community of travel agents.
The service will initially be available to the travel trade in North America.
