Norwegian carried 3,358,546 passengers in July, an increase of 15 percent compared to the same month last year. The total traffic growth (RPK) increased by 23 percent this month, driven by a 24 percent capacity growth (ASK). The load factor was a solid 94 percent network wide, and the intercontinental routes had a load factor of 96 percent.

“We are very pleased that an increasing number of passengers choose Norwegian for their travels, not least intercontinentally. It is also satisfactory that even with a strong capacity growth our aircraft are full. This proves that travellers in Europe, the U.S. and Asia appreciate low fares, new aircraft and friendly service,” said CEO of Norwegian, Bjørn Kjos.

Norwegian operated 99.1 percent of the scheduled flights in July, whereof 68.8 percent departed on time.

Norwegian’s fleet renewal program continued in July with the delivery of three Boeing 737 MAX aircraft and two Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners. With an average age of only 3.6 years, Norwegian’s fleet is one of the world’s “greenest” and most modern.
