Fiji Airways is collaborating for code share agreement with Hong Kong Airlines to attract more Asian travellers in future.
The arrangement with Hong Kong Airlines will see the Fijian national carrier place its “FJ” code on Hong Kong Airlines’ services between Hong Kong and Bangkok, Tokyo and Osaka.
This will enable travellers from these cities to travel to Fiji on a single ticket, transiting at Hong Kong International Airport.
In return, Hong Kong Airlines will place its “HX” code on Fiji Airways’ direct Nadi-Hong Kong and Nadi-Auckland flights.
The Managing director & CEO of Fiji Airways Andre Viljoen said that they are delighted to have a excellent partner for airlines. The collaboration with Hong kong Airlines will help to expand our footprint in Northeast Asia. It is a key part of the growth and presence in the region, and the three destinations are welcome additions to this network.
“The arrangement will help to allow through check-in of customers and their luggage all the way to their final destinations, offering convenient transit options in Hong Kong and Nadi. Fiji Airways is offering several in-flight services to Asian travellers, which includes the Asian meals and they are ensuring the availability of Mandarin and Cantonese interpreters on every flight between Hongkong and Nadi.
