The people of Britain will enjoy the security if the travel companies will not work while having their holidays. Britons who are booking their holidays online will receive the same security, which is enjoying by the visitors after booking it from any travel agent.
From the year 2018, a new legislation will enforce where the people using travel booking portals to book the accommodation and flights separately do not run the jeopardy of being stranded overseas or losing their money.
Till now, the protection is given by Air Travel Organiser’s Licence (ATOL), which is a governmental travel organizer for the people of Britain. Air Travel Organiser’s Licence (ATOL) was established in 1973 with an aim to protect the people of Britain while they book the accommodations and the flights for the trips. ATOL has protected more than 20 millions holidaymakers annually. Almost all the travel companies in United Kingdom are the part of the scheme which protected the passengers with £2.50.
The new legislation will provide the ATOL protection. The ATOL protection covers the passengers who book flights, hotels or car hire that are not sold as part of package holidays. From next year, when the tourists book the trips are then directed by the airline to a separate company to book hotel and within 24 hours, the holiday will be covered.
But now, ATOL has failed to reflect the changes in the current travel industry. Most of the people opt for the online booking for the best deal and the money savings. These online travel booking companies offers the best deals at the cheaper price than the travel booking agents. It is seen that the people who are buying hotels and flights separately are often miss out the protections. So it is decided to provide the best security to all the people who are having both online and offline bookings for travelling.
