Holidaylettings.co.uk, a TripAdvisor company and the UK’s leading holiday home booking site, has revealed that the Cowal Peninsula tops its list of summer hotspots on the rise for 2017.
The list ranks 15 destinations around the UK where holiday rental bookings have soared in 2017 compared to last year, based on increases in demand.
The data shows that Northumberland and Norfolk are seeing a surge in popularity for summer breaks, as well as beauty spots in Scotland.
Saskia Welman, spokesperson for Holiday Lettings, said that this recent data reveals the lesser known holiday hotspots. “We’re seeing a rise in bookings generally across Scotland at the moment, but these latest statistics show that the Cowal Peninsula, with all its classic Scottish charm and glorious scenery, is growing in popularity faster than anywhere else right now.”
Rentals themselves are becoming an ever more popular way to holiday, too, Saskia continued.
“More and more travellers are seeing the advantages of rental accommodation as an alternative to traditional hotel stays. More space, more privacy, the freedom of feeling at home... and they offer unbeatable value, too.”
Holidaymakers aren’t the only ones benefiting from the rising popularity of rentals. More and more owners are listing their homes for free with TripAdvisor Rentals and earning extra income.
