Carnival Magic and Carnival Vista, both of which had left for eight-night cruise sessions on 15th July would be sailing itineraries that would be slightly affected by the tropical storm Don.
This storm is progressing westward across the Southern Caribbean.
The storm is located at a distance of nearly 120 miles east-to-southeast of Grenada. It has sustained wind speeds of nearly 40 miles an hour and has triggered Tropical Storm Warnings for Grenada, Grenadines and St. Vincent. In addition, a Tropical Storm Watch is also in the cards for Bonaire.
The National Hurricane Center (NHC) has also cautioned Tobago, Aruba, Curacao and Trinidad to monitor the progress of the storm.
The NHC has stated that in the next 24 hours, a little change in the strength of Don is expected.
Adventure of the Seas of Royal Caribbean and Carnival Fascination are scheduled to spend Wednesday and Thursday, respectively in Barbados. Here, isolated higher amounts of rainfall are expected. So far there have been no changes in itinerary.
Carnival Vista that is sailing from Miami would be calling at San Juan and not Aruba on Wednesday and St. Maarten instead of Curacao on Thursday.
But then, the rest of the itinerary remains the same at this time.
Carnival Magic has, on the other hand, cancelled tomorrow’s Curacao call and instead, would be staying at sea.
