Marriott International’s Autograph Collection Hotels announced the opening of Hi-Lo Hotel in Oregon. Situated in the historic Oregon Pioneer Building in downtown Portland, the highly-anticipated boutique hotel is the brand’s first hotel in Oregon.
Built in 1910, the Oregon Pioneer Building – originally named The Railway Express Building – was the city’s iconic first concrete building, which became known as Project Cinderella when it was revived in 1962, serving as a catalyst to restore historic buildings in downtown.
Designed by the accomplished team of internationally-renowned Orlando Diaz-Azcuy Design Associates, Arris Studio Architects, and Portland-based groups OMFGC and Jessica Helgerson Interior Design, Hi-Lo Hotel invites guests to engage in elevated style true to the Pacific Northwest. Both elegant and effortless, the notion of mixing the “high” and the “low” is carefully imbued into every facet of the hotel, creating a sense of dynamic warmth and liveliness. From its spectacular public spaces to the organic, modern art and locally-sourced furniture found throughout the hotel, the thoughtful design concept perfectly accentuates the aesthetic of the historic building.
Located in the heart of downtown Portland, the city’s most lush hotel reflects the Oregonian landscape and is both raw and refined, resulting in a unique balance of opposites that welcomes those seeking an authentic Portland experience. Each of the 120 guest rooms and suites are outfitted with modern organic furnishings and local handcrafted bathroom amenities by Maak Lab featuring a custom scent designed exclusively for Hi-Lo Hotel.

Hi-Lo Hotel caters to business travelers with ample meeting space, state-of-the-art technology, and forward-thinking business solutions. Guests will also enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi, mobile check-in, in-room entertainment systems outfitted with Netflix and a variety of apps, daily newspaper delivery, and a 24-hour state-of-the-art fitness center. Additionally, the hotel will welcome four-legged travelers with special amenities through a partnership with a local dog bakery.
