Avoya Travel Annual Conference focuses on elevating travel agents and customer experience
FT. LAUDERDALE, FLA. – Avoya Travel just held its most successful Avoya Conference to-date. With the unveiling of new programs and partnerships, the event centered on Avoya’s commitment to growing the awareness and value of travel professionals and delivering better vacation planning experiences to customers. A record number of Independent Agencies, industry leaders and supplier partners, and Avoya support staff were in attendance to network and continue to build on a shared vision for the future of independent travel professionals and enhanced vacation planning.
At Avoya’s 10th annual conference over 500 attendees had the first glimpse into the company’s continued innovative and industry-leading advancements in marketing, technology, services, and support. The new developments shared are helping to aggressively grow the Avoya Network, elevate the role of independent travel professionals in vacation planning, and reach and connect even more new consumers with Independent Agencies through Avoya’s patented Live Leads program.
Pioneering marketing announcements headlined the week with the spotlight on Avoya Infinity, a new marketing paradigm that improves and streamlines the customer vacation planning journey by putting Independent Agencies in the Avoya Network squarely in the center, enabling them to take advantage of the prospecting and loyalty loops. Plans to rollout customer membership, significant investments in technology that will provide Avoya Network members with personalized consumer behavior metrics, and enhanced industry-leading support were among additional announcements made that tie into Avoya’s new consumer-focused Avoya Infinity platform.
Avoya Network members were also thrilled to learn during the event that Avoya has further grown and enhanced many supplier partnerships. Forging these new relationships will help Independent Agencies provide travelers with even more vacation options and value while earning more top tier commissions.
In addition to many new programs, the company celebrated its record 2016 sales year and continuing best-ever sales in 2017, as well as record Avoya Network growth. Highlighting the professionalism of the Avoya Network, more Independent Agencies were honored as top producers than ever before and throughout the week Avoya showcased its world-class technology, marketing, and support programs that have helped Independent Agencies continue to build their businesses and sales success.

Avoya’s conference was hosted at the Rancho Bernardo Inn in San Diego, California, May 22–25, 2017. During the four days, attendees participated in motivational general sessions and educational workshops and forged lasting relationships during lively networking events. There were many standout moments, including a food packing event that provided more than 68,000 meals to people in need, Avoya’s Make-A-Wish partner presentation, and a special celebration for founder, Pal Anderson’s 95th birthday at the closing night’s Chairman's Cocktail Sip & Savor event.
