Turkish Airlines will boost services to Thailand with the introduction of non-stop flights to Phuket. Istanbul – Phuket (HKT) – Istanbul flights are planned as 4 flights per week and will be launched as of July 17, 2017.

Phuket Island is the gateway to the southern part of Thailand making it easier for people to expand their travels to Khao Lak, Phang-nga, Koh Samui, Trang, as well as Krabi and Koh Lipe. Turkish Airlines executive in Thailand, Abdullah Ahmet Tuğcu, told journalists that the first expedition from Istanbul to Phuket will be on July 17 and there would be four flights a week. He also noted that Turkish Airlines offered 14 flights a week to the capital of Thailand, Bangkok, and two flights a day.
Tuğcu said passengers could also fly the Bangkok-Saigon line via Turkish Airlines.
The abolition of tourist visas between Turkey and Thailand in 2012 had considerably boosted passenger traffic.
“As of November, we scheduled two flights in a day in the winter season for the first time,” Tuğcu added.
