Peru’s Lambayeque and La Libertad northern regions, which are main tourist hubs, are gearing up to welcome tourists during the Holy Week holidays, the Foreign Trade and Tourism Ministry announced.
Tourist attractions in Lambayeque’s capital Chiclayo and surroundings are open for business. Tourists are invited to visit Pimentel and Puerto Eten beaches, Royal Tombs of Sipan Museum, Bruning National Archaeological Museum, Chotuna–Chornancap Archaeological Complex, Tucume Archaeological Complex, Afro-Peruvian Museum, Huaca Rajada Temple and Sican National Museum.
However, State-run Sernanp reported restrictions for visits to natural protected areas and reserves like Laquipampa Wildlife Refuge, Pomac Forest Historic Sanctuary and Chaparri Ecological Reserve.
Air connectivity to these areas is guaranteed. Similarly, following corresponding corroborations, the Ministry confirmed accommodations and tourist services are all set to serve tourists.
As for land connectivity, Chiclayo–Trujillo and Chiclayo–Cajamarca routes are open.
