Florida’s cruise bookings increase by 20% in 2017

The cruise industry of Florida has been progressing smartly so far. In fact, this country’s cruise bookings have risen by 20% in 2017 as compared to the same period last year, according to AAA in a press release.

The top cruise destinations in 2017 based on the AAA rankings are Australia/ New Zealand, Canada/ New England, Alaska, Caribbean and Europe.

Nearly 30% of Florida tourists surveyed by AAA said that they are planning to go for an ocean cruise in 2017.

Over 25 million people would be boarding an ocean liner worldwide at an increase of about 4.5% from the last year, as per the Cruise Line International Association. Vicky Evans, the assistant vice president of travel sales development at AAA said that the cruise industry of Florida is currently in a constant transition phase trying to attract cruise vacationers.

In a press release, Evans said that new cruise ships would be bigger and a few of the new ships would offer interesting activities like rock climbing, ice skating, skydiving and so on.
