DALLAS - Austin, Texas is one of the most expensive spring destinations in the United States, according to the latest survey from CheapHotels.org.
For comparative purposes, the survey established the minimum price travelers will have to pay to stay in each destination's cheapest available double room. It is worth noting that only those hotels and inns with a central location and with an overall rating of 3 stars or more were considered.
Coming in at an average of $224 per night for its least expensive double room, the Texan state capital took the sixth spot overall. That means only five other destinations in the United States are more expensive this spring. Topping the leaderboard is Charleston, SC. There an overnight guest will have to spend $241, on average, in April and May.
Nashville, TN and Napa, CA complete the Top 3 podium at nightly rates of $237 and $234, respectively, for their most affordable room.
