This year at OTM, an official delegation from UAE participated in the event. Largest travel trade show in India, OTM 2017 will took place in Mumbai. It had started from 21st February 2017 till 23rd Feb under the administration of the Ministry of Economy. This is the second time UAE participated in the event. ‘Visit UAE’ was the theme of the pavilion showcasing all the best attractions distributed across Emirates.
Besides, it promoted tourism services and facilities, best options for business and tourism, therapy and cultural tourism attractions and landmarks, shopping and provided all information to make the place an easily accessible destination in the world.
A significant regional and global event, OTM attracted more than 1,000 exhibitors in 2017 from over 50 countries across the globe. This event is known for promoting tourism cooperation and expanded access to various opportunities related to new and potential tourist markets from India or from other foreign countries participating in the show.
Mohammed Khamis Al Muhairi, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Economy and adviser to the Minister for Tourism said that UAE broadened its presence by including government bodies and private companies associated with travel industry this year after witnessing last year’s huge success at OTM.
