2017 marks the 150th anniversary of Canada and the 80th birthday of Air Canada. On this landmark occasion, the airline is aiming higher and reaching further to strengthen its position as a global, customer-focused organization with a truly Canadian spirit.
"Our new livery signals another pivotal transition point in our 80-year history and celebrates a major branding project for a globally recognized Canadian company. Together with our new uniforms, improved international cabin standard and enhanced on-board products, the future of Air Canada represents the strength of our nation and the future-looking spirit of our airline through distinct references to Canadian culture, heritage and evolution. From small regional airports to major international hubs, wherever we land, we fly the flag with care and class."
With major hubs in Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver and Calgary; 64 destinations in Canada; 57 destinations in the United States; and more than 90 destinations on other continents, Air Canada is the largest airline in Canada and among the 20 largest in the world. Air Canada started in 1937 with the simple idea of connecting Canadians in our vast country and beyond. Eighty years and numerous maple-leaf liveries later, we have never lost sight of our founding principle: to bring the best of Canada to our passengers and to provide each of them with the glowinghearted hospitality one would expect from Canadians. Ever since the beginnings of Air Canada, our livery has always proudly displayed the maple leaf.
