BRUSSELS - The new Virserius Studio-designed ‘Experience Floor’ is open and ready for business executives and guests at Hotel BLOOM! in Brussels. This concept marks a new approach to meetings, emphasizing artistic inspiration and relaxation.
The opening of the ‘Experience Floor’ marks the start of festivities to celebrate Hotel BLOOM!’s tenth anniversary as an art hotel. The terror attacks in Brussels had huge repercussions for the local hotel industry, with many of them experiencing severe difficulties. Despite Brussels being one of the top conference destinations in the world, the challenge for this project was whether it would be feasible to proceed with in light of the tense times.
When companies or organizations meet somewhere other than in the online space, the experience calls for something special. Research shows that art has a considerable impact on work ethic, motivation, creativity and managing stress. It was with that scientific foundation, a deference to the social sentiment, and the desire to recover the hotel sector and return stronger than ever that Hotel BLOOM! wanted to create a space where guests can feel rejuvenated and inspired.
They knew that art and clever design make face-to-face meetings more productive, so they enlisted the services of noted NY and Paris-based hospitality design firm Virserius Studio to create the ‘Experience Floor’. The space features relaxed spaces equipped with state-of-the-art technology. The hotel was already noted as the first hotel to integrate art and design into its rooms, and Virserius Studio was able to draw upon extensive multidisciplinary experience to create meeting spaces that incorporated its signature playful aesthetic.
