
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between the Sultanate of Oman and the Arab Republic of Egypt today (Dec 14) in the tourism field, on the sidelines of meeting of the Executive Office of the Arab Ministerial Council for Tourism.
As per the MoU, both sides agree to invest in the tourism and hospitality sector. Other objectives of the MoU are participation in travel fairs, exhibitions in each other’s country, and encouraging cooperation between tourism stakeholders, including hotels and tour operators.
Additionally, they will exchange expertise in areas of promotion, marketing, destination development and management.
The MoU was signed from the Omani side by Ahmed bin Nasser al-Mahrizi, Minister of Tourism, whilst it was signed from the Egyptian side by, Mohammed Yahya Rashid, Minister of Tourism in Egypt
