
International air traffic to/from the U.S. (1)totaled 186.0 million passengers through October 2016, a six percent increase over the October 2015 year-to-date period.
U.S. citizen travel (86.0 million) was up eight percent and composed 46 percent of all air traffic. Non-U.S. citizen air travelers (100.0 million) increased by four percent with their market share at 54 percent.
U.S. airlines carried 90.5 million passengers, up three percent, with their share below 49 percent. Foreign flags carried 95.7 million passengers, up nine percent from same period 2015.

Overseas air traffic accounted for 138.3 million passengers, 74 percent of all international, and grew by six percent.
U.S. citizen travel (62.3 million) was up seven percent composing 45 percent of overseas air traffic. Non-U.S. citizen air travelers (75.9 million) were up by five percent with their market share at 55 percent.
U.S. airlines carried 64.2 million passengers, up three percent, their share at 46 percent. Foreign flags carried 74.1 million passengers, up nine percent from October 2015 YTD.

Estimated capacity (417,604 seats) on non-stop flights from PRC was up 18.3 percent in October, outpaced by total inbound non-stop market passenger growth of 26.0 percent.

U.S. flags carried 9.4 million passengers, down six percent from last year, with their share at 38 percent. Foreign flags carried 15.1 million passengers, up 10 percent.

U.S. flags carried 16.8 million passengers, up seven percent from last year, but their share slipped to 72 percent. Foreign flags carried 6.5 million passengers, up 10 percent increasing share to 28 percent.
