World Travel Awards will welcome the elite of global hospitality to the Maldives for the Grand Final 2016. The event will be staged at the glamourous The Sun Siyam Iru Fushi on Friday, December 2nd, with nearly 300 hundred industry leaders expected to attend.
Reflecting a last minute surge in demand for space at the event, the venue has moved from the smaller Olhuveli Beach & Spa, Maldives, to the larger The Sun Siyam Iru Fushi. Both are operated by the Sun Siyam Resorts.
World Travel Awards President Graham Cooke said: “It will be our pleasure to welcome guests to The Sun Siyam Iru Fushi.
“Upgrading to the new, larger venue ahead of the Grand Final 2016 will allow us to welcome a larger delegation from around the world here in the Maldives.
“With just a few short days to go until the event we are putting the finishing touches in place and I look forward to greeting our guests on Friday.”
World Travel Awards, too, will be celebrating, rewarding its global winners at the end of the Grand Tour 2016.
Regional Gala Ceremonies have already taken place in Tanzania, Peru, Italy, Jamaica, Vietnam and the United Arab Emirates throughout the year.
Winners from each regional celebration progress to the Grand Final on December 2nd.
World Travel Awards was established in 1993 to acknowledge, reward and celebrate excellence across all sectors of the tourism industry.
Today, the World Travel Awards brand is recognised globally as the ultimate hallmark of quality, with winners setting the benchmark to which all others aspire.
