A one-day international tourism conference was conducted in Bangladesh last week that witnessed discussions by top travel industry experts, with a common aim of unlocking the true potential of Cox’s Bazar as a premiere tourism destination.

The conference has been dubbed Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) New Tourism Frontiers Forum 2016 (NTFF 2016).

This international event has been organized by the Bangladesh Tourism Board under the supervision of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism. It focused on a unique theme that speaks about developing a sustainable tourism brand in Bangladesh by improving the quality of tourism infrastructure in this nation, particularly promoting it as a coastal destination.

Rashed Khan Menon, the Minister of Civil Aviation and Tourism, Bangladesh, said that the nation is really hopeful that it would be able to host the PATA Travel Mart in the near future.

PATA Travel Mart is a premier tourism trade show organized by PATA every year.

The show enables smart interactions between industry decision makers, tourism organization and experts all across the world. Therefore, it plays a crucial role in impacting travel in the Asia Pacific region.

The venue of the conference was the Royal Tulip Sea Pearl Beach Resort & Spa that is based in the world’s longest unbroken beach – the Cox’s Bazar.
