FRANKFURT, GERMANY—The Sofitel Frankfurt Opera has opened here. The hotel is situated in Opernplatz, a short distance from the Frankfurt Opera and the Liesl-Christ-Anlage park.
Drawing on the expertise of designer Nicolas Adnet of the firm MHNA Paris, Sofitel aimed to create a modern hotel, inspired by the French city mansions of the 17th and 18th centuries. Furniture and facilities were also designed for the hotel.
Each of the 120 rooms and 31 suites offer a view of the opera, park or atrium. The Schonemann Restaurant and Lili’s Bar—named after writer Johann Wolfgang von Goethe’s love, Lili Schonemann—provide bistro-based cuisine and cocktails from Paris. The tea house offers a wide selection of pastries
