By conducting an in-depth study into 4-star and 5-star hotel distribution and prices across the UK, we hope to advise users on the best places to travel for a luxury hotel stay. For choice, Belfast and Oxford are the best options, with 40 per cent 4-star hotels in Belfast, and 36 per cent 4-star and 11 per cent 5-star in Oxford. For price, Glasgow is the cheapest in the 5-star category while Leeds is cheapest in the 4-star category and Aberdeen offers the best value in comparison to the average hotel price. It is interesting to note that, with the exception of Oxford, destinations in the north of England, Scotland and Northern Ireland are the best options for a luxury hotel stay.”
