Steigenberger is continuing its expansion in China. A new five-star hotel is set to open in Heihe as early as next year. The city lies directly on the border between China and Russia and thus is ideally situated to cater to business travelers and tourists from both countries.
Steigenberger Hotel Heihe, the design of which is based on a palace, forms part of a nine-element residential complex with its own parking facilities. The site is only separated from Russia by the River Amur. The main building will offer guests 202 rooms and suites, a Ballroom, three restaurants, a bar, three conference rooms and a Business Lounge. Further events facilities, a tennis center, an indoor swimming pool and a spa will be housed in the neighboring buildings.
The contractual partners for the project are The German Hotel Group (Beijing) Co., Ltd., that Steigenberger has a 50 per cent share in, and Heihe Yinjian Investment Co., Ltd. The hotel will be operated via a management agreement.
