Located on the island of Holbox, just off the northern coast of Cancún, boutique resort Casa Sandra has a modern, yet rustic style with every design detail steeped in luxury. With 18 rooms and suites, as well as a private villa, the luxury retreat is defined by its handmade Mexican and Cuban interiors, as well as the works of art of its Cuban artist creator Sandra Perez Lozano.
Ms Lozano comments: “CasaSandra is a place where distractions are few, where time stands still and where families can re-connect. The biggest challenges our guests face include: not having any plans, forgetting about time and simply enjoying the stillness of the moment.”
Spa and well-being experiences such as sunrise yoga and Pilates sessions on the beach allow guests to immerse themselves in the outstanding natural beauty of the resort, whilst taking part in truly bespoke Casa Sandra activities. Outside the property there is plenty to explore with Yalahau Lagoon (Three Island Tour), snorkelling and diving as well as whale shark and dolphin watching.
Holbox Island is considered one of the Mexican Caribbean’s best kept secrets. Cancún airport is just 50 miles away – making the resort easily reached by ferry, private boat or small plane.
