Orlando International Airport (MCO) serves up to nearly 40.5 million travelers during a 12-month period. May statistics indicate another record for the total number of people traveling through MCO.
Contributing to the healthy May numbers was a 168 thousand seat increase in capacity by the airlines and a number of sizable conventions visiting the area including the American Association of Orthodontists and the largest for the month, MegaCon with over 40 thousand attendees.
May Statistical Data:
- Domestic passenger traffic increased 7.9 percent with 3,088,318 total travelers
- International passenger volume continued its double-digit increase, up 15.25 percent on a total of 465,608 passengers
- Combined, overall traffic was up 8.81 percent for the month with 3,553,926 total passengers
- Year-to-date traffic remains strong climbing 10.27 percent with 17,955,542 travelers at MCO
