Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (IKSV), organizer of Istanbul Jazz Festival, said, “We always and unconditionally take side with democracy and will-power of the people. We firmly believe that our country will overcome these hard times. We believe that music is our common language and we will be continuing the ongoing 23rd Istanbul Jazz Festival with the artists who are willing to perform in Istanbul”.
“Unfortunately, we were obliged to make some changes in the programme after demands from some of the artists.” added IKSV.
The changes are as follows
Friday, 22 July: Laura Mvula / Jacob Collier
Laura Mvula will not be able to participate. You can follow the website for possible changes of Jacob Collier.
Friday, 22 July: Eylem Pelit Band / Treeoo
The concert will take place. Treeoo will not be able to participate.
Saturday, 23 July: Joss Stone / Grup Ses Beats
Vintage Trouble will not be able to participate, Joss Stone will be on stage at 21.00.
Sunday, 24 July: Allan Harris, Roy Hargrove, Roberta Gambarini and TRT Radio Big Band
The concert will take place.
