ATLANTA—Hunter Hotel Advisors represented CN Hotels, based in Greensboro, NC, in the sale of the 89-room Home2 Suites I-77 South in Charlotte, NC, and the 100-room Hampton Inn & Suites Southeast/Fort Jackson in Columbia, SC.
A private-equity firm based in the Northeast, along with Schulte Hospitality Group of Louisville KY, purchased both institutional grade hotels.
“We were able to garner a tremendous amount of traction for these assets because of their superior quality, which CN has a reputation in the industry for developing,” said Lee Hunter, COO of Hunter Hotel Advisors. “Both REITS and private-equity companies were interested in these strong, cash-flowing hotels.”
The new owners will complete minimal renovations to the hotels and plan to keep the existing flags.
“Hunter did a great job in presenting this off-market deal to a select few groups,” said Mitul Patel, partner at CN Hotels. “As we continue to upgrade our portfolio, we look forward to working with the team at Hunter on future transactions.”
Hunter's national brokerage offices specialize in full and select-service hotels, including portfolios and individual assets for clients ranging from REITs and investment banks to regional hotel owners.
