Abu Dhabi is catching up with Dubai in terms of tourism




Abu Dhabi, the capital city of United Arab Emirates has always lagged behind Dubai when it came to tourism. But, now after years, it is doing all it can to keep up with Dubai.

Abu Dhabi is all set to stress on the culture factor and bring in tourists to the region with various grand plans. As of now, the tactics seem to be working.

Abu Dhabi is an archipelago, which comprises of numerous small islands. They are linked by road bridges and each of them is unique.


Saadiyat island in the north is going to be the talk of the town as soon as the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi, Louvre Abu Dhabi, and the Zayed National Museum open.


Yas Island, aka the entertainment island is where you will find Yas Links, a par 72 championship golf course and the Yas Marina circuit which is known for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Yas Island is also famous for having the world’s largest theme park, Ferrari World, where one can find Formula Rossa, the fastest rollercoaster and Flying aces, the tallest loop on the earth.


Towards the end of 2016, three posh hotels will be opened. In fact, one of these, Al Maryah has already had its first guests in May. The Grand Hyatt and Fairmont Marina will soon follow suit.


Yellow Boats are great options for those who want to go on a speed-boat trip around the coastline. Everyone loves those beautiful beaches after all.


Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is one of the most magnificent mosques with space for 40,000 devotees. The Rub Al Khali desert is just a little away from the city and it is in fact, the biggest area of sand in the whole world.


You can opt for a lot of desert experience packages like camel far, camel rides, Arabic style buffer and dune bashing.


You can get amazing food in Abu Dhabi, with sea food being their USP and a lot of world class chefs can be found there.


The best time to visit Abu Dhabi is during the winters and spring, that is from November to April, when the temperature is around 24C because in summers, it can be scorching hot with temperature reaching around 42C
