Active Learning and the power of data - introducing an innovative Swedish interactive learning experience is part of a new series of short and snappy talks at IMEX in Frankfurt this year. These TED-style talks, part of a packed education programme at the show’s Inspiration Hub, focus on ‘Trends and Future-Think’ and are brought to IMEX in Frankfurt by the Swedish Network of Convention Bureaus.
The two speakers, Alexis Barnekow and Anders Persson, introduced their proven methodology to increase engagement and make communication fun and easy. Alexis is co-founder of Green Hat People, one of the first companies to apply apps and mobile solutions in corporate learning environments and corporate events. In an interactive session, he showed visitors how to apply Active Learning using games and mobile apps in order to achieve better results as well as have fun with industry colleagues.

Destination Marketing in Difficult Times covered recent events and their impact with input from convention bureaus in Paris, Brussels and Dresden. Representatives from the three cities discussed how they dealt with crises and the action taken.
Julie Blank, from Spear One in the USA, explains: "I’m looking to plan incentive programmes in 2018 which include Brussels. The opportunity to speak directly with key representatives from the city was invaluable as I was able to gather some really useful information and resources."
Reem Kattan, from USAID Tourism Project in Jordan, adds: "This session offered some real insight into how these cities reacted to issues and what measures they put in place."
Visitors had a glimpse into the future at MPI’s deep dive into the industry’s business trends.
