Turkish Airlines announced the start of new flights from Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen, Ankara Esenboga and Trabzon Airports to three important destinations in Saudi Arabia. They are Jeddah (JED), Medina (MED) and Riyadh (RUH).
Turkish Airlines’ Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen (SAW) – Medina (MED) v.v. flights will be operated as 4 frequencies per week and launched as of March 28, 2016. Turkish Airlines has already launched its Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen (SAW)- Jeddah (JED) v.v. and Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen (SAW)-Riyadh (RUH) v.v. flights as 7 weekly frequencies both, as of March 27, 2016. Turkish Airlines’ Ankara Esenboga (ESB) –Medina (MED) v.v. flights have also started on March 27, 2016, as 7 weekly frequencies.
Trabzon (TZX)- Riyadh (RUH) v.v. flights will start on March 29, 2016, as 3 weekly frequencies.
From Istanbul Ataturk Airport (IST), Turkish Airlines currently operates 21 weekly frequencies to Jeddah, 14 weekly frequencies to both Medina and Riyadh. Turkish Airlines operates 10 weekly frequencies (14 as of June 2016) from IST and 7 weekly frequencies from SAW to Dammam. The national carrier is operating a total number of 7 destinations in Saudi Arabia, with our 7 weekly frequencies from IST to Yanbu, 5 weekly frequencies from IST to Al Qassim and 3 weekly frequencies from IST to Ta’if.
