Greece boasts the highest number of low cost coastal towns, with five locations in the top 25. The cheapest is Thessaloniki, at an average of £57 per night. Denise Bartlett, UK Public Relations: “With so much advice available online, it can be difficult to identify which are really the most popular and the cheapest destinations. These infographics aim to inform, whether you are planning a city break, a beach holiday or want to know the most popular destinations – to join (or to avoid!) fellow Brits. It is really interesting to note Amsterdam is now the most popular overseas destination among UK holidaymakers. Also interesting is the high average hotel price in London, which is much higher than any other European capital.”
