In 1946, Iberia became the first airline with regular flights between Europe and Latin America when it launched its Madrid-Buenos Aires route, with a stop in Montevideo. Celebrating 70th anniversary of the launch Iberia’s Spain-Latin America services, Iberia announced increase of its flights to Montevideo.
Starting today, Iberia is strengthening increasing its commitment to Uruguay by increasing the frequency of its non-stop Madrid-Montevideo flights to five per week, all with good connections to/from more than 100 Iberia destinations in Europe, Africa and the Middle East, and, as of the next winter season, also to Iberia's new Asian destinations, Tokyo and Shanghai.
