3BaysOver’s CEO Visits Peru

3BaysOver’s CEO Andy Ryan kicks off his promotional tour of Latin America today in Lima, Peru. Mr Ryan is making his first official visit to the country in order to meet with the National Tourism Organization, the Peruvian Tour Operators Association, the Lima Meetings and Conventions Bureau and other private and public sector tourism industry stakeholders. His tour will then continue through Central America and will end in Colombia where he will attend the country’s most important tourism fair, ANATO . The objective of the month long promotional tour is to introduce the Swiss company’s online business-to-business (B2B) networking platform to the Latin American market.
“Peru is one of the most innovative tourism destinations in Latin America. Turning Lima into the world’s culinary capital is an example of how Peru has been able to create destination diversity and open its tourism offerings beyond the great wonder of Machu Picchu. Peru demonstrates how things should be done,” says Andy Ryan.
The World Travel & Tourism Council reports that 9 out of 10 tourism industry professionals feel existing social media solutions are not adequate for their business needs. 3BaysOver is helping global B2B-networking problems by creating a collaboration platform solely for the tourism industry. The social media platform allows tourism professionals to search for and communicate with business contacts, create personal and company profiles, promote their business events, and manage membership directories. Access to the network is by invitation only, which ensures that all members are active in tourism.
“We will meet with 3BaysOver to explore joint collaboration. We are interested to see how the technology they have developed can improve our internal communications effort,” said President of APOTUR, Mr. Enrique Quiñones Pareja.
To date, tourism professionals from over 150 countries including Latin America have joined the fast-growing business community and are showcasing themselves and their businesses on the platform.
The Swiss company sees great potential for its networking platform in the Latin American tourism market. It has published its marketing homepage in Spanish, it opened its first Latin American office in Chile, where Pablo Retamal, 3BaysOver’s director of international development, aims to boost the company’s regional presence.
