Spain, which is ranked as the 3rd destination hosting the most international meetings, tries to expand its reach in the USA MICE Market. The Tourist Office of Spain in Chicago announced the expansion of their strategic partnership with i-Meet.com, the worldwide business community for people who plan meetings and events, furthering their commitment to helping and acknowledging planners for the professionalism they bring to the industry.
The office already partners with i-meet.com for social media marketing since 2012. Carola Sesena, Director of the Tourist Office of Spain in Chicago said, “We’re excited about bringing even more communication, ideas and event options for international events to MICE planners in i-Meet’s global community.”
In addition to their annual activities, the Tourist Office of Spain in Chicago this year brings planners the opportunity to gain a competitive edge through their Spain360 Expert eLearning program, and to promote networking with reputable suppliers in Spain through its Meet in Spain Virtual Face to Face Event in November 2015.
It is also one of the first global sponsors for the Meeting Professional Badge, the industry’s only acknowledgement of a planner’s practical, on-the-ground experience. It captures visits for site inspections, on-site management, travel, and sourcing, translating that experience into a personal credential to honor planners.
“Spain is one of the most popular destinations in the world for events, and their continued innovation and support for planners is considered a model approach,” said John Pino, CEO and Founder of i-Meet. “The Tourist Office of Spain in Chicago delivers real value – through their content, activities, opportunities and specific events aimed at support and partnership. We’re thrilled to be innovating with their team again on many new initiatives.”
